Welcome to the FACTS library; a resource developed by Karen Braun to invite and aid people and teams in praying, listening, and interceding all while aligning with Father’s heart and his guiding Word.

You will find 7 years’ worth of weekly guiding verses for prayer groups in this resource.

FACTS stands for:

  • Focus
  • Adoration
  • Confession
  • Thanksgiving
  • Supplication

The FACTS prayer guide has been designed to be used for a weekly online one-hour prayer time. Generally the first 20-30 minutes are set aside to pray through the F-focus, A-adoration, C-confession, and T-thanksgiving verses, as heart preparation in order to align with the Father’s leading for specific areas for intercession.  The last segment of time (S-supplication) allows for prayer to be directed towards the needs of those we are interceding for.  With each verse and request, invitation is given to remain and pray until it is time to move on.

The value of preparation before intercession is pivotal to listening and praying according to the Holy Spirit’s leading.  The beauty of doing this in community builds unity, affirms, challenges and spurs faith as we press in together. “But if you remain in Me and My words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!” John 15:7, NLT

Alongside the rhythm of weekly prayer times, twice a year (June & December) the opportunity to hear the “God Stories” provides time to reflect and celebrate how God has been at work and answering prayer. This is faith building and encouraging for those who weekly do this quiet work of prayer.

Karen Braun was a woman of passion who knew, practised, and experienced the power of prayer.  From the example of our praying Mother to the many answers and changes created through prayer, Karen dedicated her life to calling and equipping others to also see this value and participate.  For years she worked with Power to Change and Mothers who Care and then launched Cultivate Prayer; to do exactly as the name describes.

Karen and I dreamed together about what could be accomplished with dedicated intercessor teams, even virtually.  That is how iSUN, iSAND etc. were birthed.  And oh, how we have seen the effectiveness of prayer in kingdom work.  In places we kept hitting a wall we began to see movement and breakthrough. “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20, NIV).

Karen spent time each month fasting and praying as she developed this library of FACTS verses that have guided numerous prayer teams around the world for many years.  We are thankful for how her investment still blesses many today.

Karen passed away in 2018 after a battle with cancer.  I know she would be thrilled that this resource continues as part of her legacy.
