FOCUS

Proverbs 2:3-5, NKJV: Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, 4 If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God.

ADORATION

Proverbs 3:19, 34, AMP: The Lord by His wisdom has founded the earth;
By His understanding He has established the heavens. Though He scoffs at the scoffers and scorns the scorners, Yet He gives His grace [His undeserved favor] to the humble [those who give up self-importance].

CONFESSION

2 Chronicles 7:14, NIV: If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

2 Samuel 5:19, 20, NKJ:  So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?” And the Lord said to David, “Go up, for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into your hand.”  So David went to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there; and he said, “The Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim.

ADORATION

Job 12:13-16, NIV: To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his. What he tears down cannot be rebuilt; those he imprisons cannot be released. If he holds back the waters, there is drought; if he lets them loose, they devastate the land. To him belong strength and insight; both deceived and deceiver are his.

CONFESSION

Zephaniah 1:6, AMP: And those who have turned back from following the Lord,
And those who have not sought the Lord [as their most important need] or inquired of Him.

THANKSGIVING

Psalm 40:16, NIV: But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The Lord is great!”

SUPPLICATION

Proverbs 2:6-7, NKJ: For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly.

1 Corinthians 10:1-4, NIV: For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. They all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.

ADORATION

2 Samuel 22:47-49, NIV: “The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior! He is the God who avenges me, who puts the nations under me, who sets me free from my enemies. You exalted me above my foes; from violent men you rescued me.”

CONFESSION

1 Peter 2:6-8, NIV: For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone,” and, “A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.”

THANKSGIVING

Isaiah 32:2, NIV: Each man will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.

SUPPLICATION

Matthew 16:16-18, NIV: Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

Psalm 25:14, NIV: The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him.

ADORATION

Deuteronomy 32:4, KJV: He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

CONFESSION

Isaiah 26:4-5, NIV: Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal. He humbles those who dwell on high, he lays the lofty city low; he levels it to the ground and casts it down to the dust.

THANKSGIVING

Psalm 18:1-2 MSG: I love you, God—you make me strong. God is bedrock under my feet, the castle in which I live, my rescuing knight. My God—the high crag where I run for dear life, hiding behind the boulders, safe in the granite hideout.

SUPPLICATION

Psalm 92:15, NIV: Proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”

Matthew 7:12, MSG: Here is a simple, rule-of-thumb guide for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, then grab the initiative and do it for them. Add up God’s Law and Prophets and this is what you get.

ADORATION

Psalm 46:10, KJV: Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

CONFESSION

Matthew 7:1-5, MSG: Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. It’s easy to see a smudge on your neighbors face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own. Do you have the nerve to say, Let me wash your face for you, when your own face is distorted by contempt? It’s this whole traveling road-show mentality all over again, playing a holier-than-thou part instead of just living your part. Wipe that ugly sneer off your own face, and you might be fit to offer a washcloth to your neighbor.

THANKSGIVING

Isaiah 30:15, NLT: In repentance and rest you will be saved. In quietness and trust is your strength.

SUPPLICATION

Philippians 4:8-9, NLT: And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

2 Peter 1:5-7 (NIV): For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

ADORATION

Nehemiah 9:32-33 (NIV): Now therefore, O our God, the great, mighty and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love, do not let all this hardship seem trifling in your eyes — the hardship that has come upon us, upon our kings and leaders, upon our priests and prophets, upon our fathers and all your people, from the days of the kings of Assyria until today. In all that has happened to us, you have been just; you have acted faithfully, while we did wrong.

CONFESSION

James 4:17 (NIV): Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.

THANKSGIVING

2 Peter 1:8-9 (NIV): For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.

SUPPLICATION

3 John 11 (NIV): Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.

FOCUS

2 Peter 1:3 (NIV): His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

ADORATION

James 1:16-18 (NIV): Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of all he created.

CONFESSION

James 2:14-17 (NIV): What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

THANKSGIVING

1 Peter 4:19 (NIV): So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

SUPPLICATION

2 Timothy 4:7-8 (NIV): I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day — and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
