FACTS Feb 19-25, 2017

FOCUS

Exodus 2:23 (NIV): Many years later the king of Egypt died. The Israelite’s groaned under their slavery and cried out. Their cries for relief from their hard labor ascended to God.

ADORATION

Exodus 2:24-25 (NIV): God listened to their groanings. God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. God saw what was going on with Israel. God understood.

CONFESSION

Genesis 19:16-17,26 (MSG): Lot was dragging his feet. The men grabbed Lot’s arm, and the arms of his wife and daughters—God was so merciful to them!—and dragged them to safety outside the city. When they had them outside, Lot was told, “Now run for your life! Don’t look back! Don’t stop anywhere on the plain—run for the hills or you’ll be swept away.” But Lot’s wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt.

THANKSGIVING

Exodus 3:4-6 (NIV): God saw that he had stopped to look. God called to him from out of the bush, “Moses! Moses!” He said, “Yes? I’m right here!” God said, “Don’t come any closer. Remove your sandals from your feet. You’re standing on holy ground.” Then he said, “I am the God of your father: The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob.” Moses hid his face, afraid to look at God.

SUPPLICATION

Exodus 14:13-14 (NIV): Moses spoke to the people: “Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and watch God do his work of salvation for you today. Take a good look at the Egyptians today for you’re never going to see them again. God will fight the battle for you. And you? You keep your mouths shut!”
