FACTS Aug 13-19, 2017
FOCUS
Ecclesiastes 12:11 (MSG): The words of the wise prod us to live well. They’re like nails hammered home, holding life together. They are given by God, the one Shepherd.
ADORATION
Psalms 23:1-3 (NIV): A psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
CONFESSION
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (MSG): There’s no end to the publishing of books, and constant study wears you out so you’re no good for anything else. The last and final word is this: Fear God. Do what he tells you. And that’s it. Eventually God will bring everything that we do out into the open and judge it according to its hidden intent, whether it’s good or evil.
THANKSGIVING
Isaiah 40:10-11 (NIV): See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.
SUPPLICATION
Acts 17: 26-28 (MSG): Starting from scratch, he made the entire human race and made the earth hospitable, with plenty of time and space for living so we could seek after God, and not just grope around in the dark but actually find him. He doesn’t play hide-and-seek with us. He’s not remote; he’s near. We live and move in him, can’t get away from him!
